R&D Project Manager & Research Engineer
CNE, a leading private center for applied Research and Development in Cyprus with accredited ISO 17025 Testing and Calibration Laboratories is seeking to hire qualified individuals for its Research Division to work on its expanding R&D portfolio of projects.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Management of R&D projects & Coordination of project consortia (for CNE-09/06)
- Operational management of the Electronics & Systems Integration Lap (for CNE-09/06)
- Execution of high quality research work based on project requirements (analytical, experimental, software development, technical/hands-on)
- Data analysis/processing and interpretation of results
- Implementation of documented engineering design methodology (concept formulation, planning, development, prototyping)
- Documentation and preparation of reports on research work for projects
- Formulation of sound research proposals & preparation of research grant applications (for CNE-09/06)
- Work with industry and other clients for execution of research work and identification of their technological/research needs
- Maintain and expand networking with associates in relation to current research and future research activities of the Center

Qualifications Required
- BSc and/or MSc or Phd Degree in one of the following disciplines:
Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Instrumentation and Control Engineering
Mechatronics

- Proven working experience in:
o Analog and digital circuit design with emphasis on signal processing
o Design & development of advanced data acquisition systems
o Design & integration of embedded controllers
o Design & development of electronic control systems and instrumentation
o Database Design and Implementation (MS SQL, .NET)
o Development of web-based engineering applications
o Wireless Communication Systems / Wireless sensor networks

- At least five years post-degree working experience in the above fields (for CNE-09/06)
- At least two years post-degree working experience in the above fields (for CNE-09/07)
- Experience in Labview development, image processing and analysis will be considered an advantage

SKILLS:
- Able to manage projects, especially multinational (for CNE-09/06)
- Able to manage people as project team leader (for CNE-09/06)
- Able to work as part of a team but also self-reliant and able to work independently
- Able to investigate, identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Enjoy hands-on work (electronic design and development, operation of instrumentation and electro-mechanical equipment, etc)
- Active interest in maintaining personal technical skills and knowledge
- Very good technical writing skills in Greek and English
- Very good and effective oral/written communication skills
